Although first deliveries of the facelifted A4 in Britain won't begin until March 2012, Audi has announced that customers can order the revised saloon and estate models from today. The new A4 will be available with an all-turbocharged engine line-up consisting of three petrol and six diesel units. Those interested in the petrol lineup will initially be able to order the revamped 170HP 1.8-liter TFSI engine that offers increased performance and reduced consumption compared to its predecessor. It is offered with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed multitronic (CVT) transmission which powers the front wheels. Prices start from £25,240 for the saloon and £26,455 for the Avant. In early 2012, the base 120HP 1.8-liter engine will be available for order with pricing to start under £24,000 for the saloon. Next up is the 211HP 2.0-liter TSI in front- or all-wheel (quattro) drive versions. The FWD model is available only with an eight-speed multitronic gearbox, while the quattro with either a six-speed manual or the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch. The top-of-the-line S4, which sports a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 delivering 333HP linked to Audi\'s all-wheel drive system and either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed S tronic transmission, starts a smidge below £39,000 for the saloon add a grand for the Avant. Those opting for a diesel A4 can choose from five 2.0-liter TDI engines with outputs ranging from 136HP to 177HP, front- or all-wheel drive and either a six-speed manual or the eight-speed multitronic. The range topper is the 245HP 3.0-liter V6 TDI that is available only with AWD, while customers wanting an automatic will have to go for the more sporty, seven-speed dual clutch S tronic instead of the multitronic CVT eight-speeder. UK buyers will be able to choose from three equipment levels. The base SE is more comfort-oriented, featuring three-zone climate control, a 10-speaker, 180 watt audio system with a 6.5-inch monitor, cruise control, rear parking sensors, rain and light sensors, Bluetooth connectivity, a colored Driver's Information System and 17-inch alloys. An additional £1,100 buys you the SE Technik upgrade, which adds "Milano" leather upholstery, DVD navigation, i-Pod connectivity and front and rear parking sensors with both acoustic and visual guidance. The sporty S line specification offers a lowered suspension, 18-inch alloys, S line exterior and interior trim and xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights for a premium of £2,555. The top equipment level is the S line-based Black Edition that adds £1,250 to the S line price. For that you get 19-inch alloys with titanium finish, a high gloss black styling package for the grille, fog lights, windows and number plates and, on the Avant, black roof rails and tinted rear windows. In the interior, upgrades include a 505 watt Bang & Olufsen audio system and piano black inlays.
